vintage (bill stothard collection)

to quote Bill - my interest stems from the fact that my late mother Annie Stothard (nee Lodge) originates from this area. She was born (in 1906) at Jump Hall Farm, later moving to Manor Farm, Barber St, Hoyland, along with 4 brothers and three sisters. All of her brothers & sisters (my Aunties & Uncles) remained in the Hoyland area for the rest of their lives - all the men continuing the family tradition of farming in the local community.
